Workshop Information

Open to all experience levels!

$535 CAD + GST (5%) and a materials fee (TBD)

Held in Rayvin's Khrysalis Studios Location - Airdrie, AB, CANADA

Class hours will be from 9am to 5pm daily.

Come have some fun and learn the equine form in depths that may surprise you! Each participant will get one on one attention from Rayvin Maddock and guest speaker Lynn Fraley as you learn the intricacies of the horses anatomy, biomechanics and conformation. Your days will be packed with lots of delicious knowledge with tons of opportunities to ask questions and get specific help as you create your sculptures and learn more about the amazing equine!

You'll walk away from this workshop with not only a wealth of knowledge and hands on anatomy experience with a live horse, but also with not one, but TWO sculptures you will start in class. One sculpture will be a full body horse sculpture, made of non drying wax based Monster Clay. The second sculpture will be a half body anatomy study of the muscles of the horse made from non drying colored plasticine clay. This study will be a great reference for you and give you some real insights into the 3D nature of the muscles of the horse. Each muscle group will have different colors so you can better visually see how everything works together under the skin.

Come join in the fun and have an experience you won't soon forget! Maybe this will be the push you need to start your first original sculpture, maybe it will solve some anatomy questions that have plagued you for years, maybe you'll come out with some new confidence and some new friends. Join us and find out!

We look forward to seeing you there!
